Barbara Malaran

Barbara Malaran (they/them) is a queer and non-binary interdisciplinary artist and the child of immigrants from the Philippines. They grew up in a middle class family and earned a degree in Media Studies from The New School. Barbara’s work focuses on exploring autobiographical stories of community through video and audio narratives.

Desireena Almoradie

Desireena Almoradie (she/they) is a queer filmmaker who emigrated from the Philippines to New York at the age of eleven. They grew up in Queens, earned a degree in film from NYU and has dedicated their career to the documentary field, with a focus on collective history and BIPOC lives.
