Inline event cards & dividers — demo
Article bodies now support two new block types alongside paragraphs, headings and images. Editors can drop them anywhere in the prose flow from the body editor’s "+ Add" menu.

Event card
The block below is an inline event reference. It pulls a live event from the CMS and renders the same grid card used on archive pages, sized to one column of the site grid and centred within the body.
Anything that follows the card flows back into the prose at full body width. The card stays linked to the event document, so titles, dates and venue updates propagate automatically.
How is the festival funded?
Queer East is a registered charity supported by Arts Council England, the BFI through National Lottery funds, ticket revenue, donations and partnerships.
Can I volunteer at the festival?
Yes — we welcome volunteers across the festival. Volunteer callouts open a few weeks before each edition, so keep an eye on our newsletter and socials for how to apply.
Do you offer internships or placements?
We occasionally offer paid placements in programming, production and marketing. Any openings are posted on our News page and shared with our mailing list.
What happens if an event is cancelled or rescheduled?
If an event is cancelled or rescheduled we'll email everyone who booked and post an update on the event page. Refunds for cancellations are handled by the box office of the hosting venue.
Do you host events outside the main festival dates?
We do — look out for year-round screenings, talks and takeovers in our What's On listings, in partnership with venues across the UK.
Divider
Above this paragraph is a divider block. It’s a simple horizontal rule using the site’s 0.75px grey border, with consistent vertical rhythm — useful for separating sections within long articles or between an event card and the next thread of writing.
Combined usage
You can use multiple event cards in one article (for example, a piece previewing several screenings) and mix dividers between them to keep things scannable.
